Everyone, welcome to the personalfinancefun blog. My name is Thomas Stefaniak and I will be blog host and probably posting the most entries, at least at first. I am currently a financial program manager at Maxwell-Gunter AFB in Alabama. My job involves presenting personal financial training to the fine men and women of the strongest air power in the world, the United States Air Force. Prior to this, I was a marketing manager for a world wide not for profit association based in brew city, Milwaukee.
I have been interested in personal finance since high school when I participated in a semester long stock trading game. I have been an individual stock investor for about 14 years. If I had to pin myself down, I would tend to be generally considered a value investor. However, lately, I have been more in the growth spectrum.
On this blog, I will be sharing news, thoughts, and tidbits from areas such as the stock market, mutual funds, taxes, and banking. My general comments on other life observations may also seep in. I also have a lot of ideas that I will launch on this blog in the upcoming weeks and months. My soon to be completed profile will have more information about me and my objectives for this site.
